Winthrop University is a public, liberal arts college located in Rock Hill, SC. The university requested that the shortage of parking be addressed; the Winthrop University parking lot improvement project was designed and constructed to provide more parking for the college’s students.
For this project, Armstrong Glen, P.C. prepared a demolition plan, parking layout, lighting layout, sidewalk layout, fencing plan, pavement design, and erosion control plan for a 1000 vehicle student parking lot. The project was a fast-track project that was designed and constructed during the summer of 2008 in order to be useable for the start of the fall semester.
