Located in the “Montclair south” area of Charlotte, the Lake Mist pond rehabilitation project was implemented to provide improvements to an existing impoundment. The purpose of this project was to alleviate flooding within a 56-acre urban watershed.
For this project, Armstrong Glen, P.C. provided analysis, design, and permitting assistance for improvements to a 2.25-acre pond. This project included reconstruction of the embankment, relocation of the emergency spillway, and replacement of the primary outlet structure for the low-hazard dam. The project also involved significant coordination with downstream residents.
Construction Cost was $1,700,000.
