Located in Chester, SC, Route 9 Water Main Relocation consisted of the relocation of a 24-inch and 30-inch water main due to the widening of SC Route 9 from the City of Chester to the Catawba River.
For this project, Armstrong Glen, P.C. provided field surveys, design, permitting, bidding, construction administration and construction observation. This project required fourteen line-stops and major reconstruction due to changes in roadway alignment and several bridge replacements on Route 9. One mile of 24-inch water main and three miles of 30-inch water main were relocated without service interruption.
Estimated Construction Costs was $4,500,000.
