Located in the “Tools Fork” area of Rock Hill, the Tools Fork Sewer Interceptor project was implemented to provide sewer service to an area of approximately 4 square miles.
For this project, Armstrong Glen, P.C. provided field surveys, courthouse research, easement mapping, design, permitting, bidding assistance, impact mitigation consulting, and construct administration. Part of this project involved a 36” bore under SC Route 5 along with 12 creek-crossings, six utility crossings, 3 acres of wetland conservation, and the decommissioning of a lift station and a wastewater treatment plant.
This project included: 17,000 linear feet of gravity sewer and 69 manholes were constructed. Additional sewer included: 2,900 linear feet of 24” sewer, 2300 linear feet of 18” sewer, 8100 feet of 16” sewer, 2100 linear feet of 12” sewer, 1400 linear feet of 10” sewer, and 300 feet of 8” sewer. Construction Cost was $1,409,000.
