Located in the City of Rock Hill, SC, the Saluda Street Streetscape project was to improve over one mile of SC Route 72 (Saluda Street). Approximately 5,800 linear feet of SC Route 72 and adjacent sidewalks were reconstructed to provide a pedestrian friendly gateway into the City.
For this project, Armstrong Glen, P.C. services for the project included field surveys, engineering design, public involvement, and bid phase services. Improvements at the Johnston/Elizabeth/Saluda Street intersection included narrowing Saluda Street and removing right-turn channels, updating the signalization, and installing mast arms and poles. Improvements were also made to the storm drainage, water distribution and electrical systems, and the Johnston/Saluda Intersection.
